PULS wins the HR Excellence Award in the category "Working 4.0"

Our employees and managers at PULS GmbH have collaborated to design a new agile working environment for the company’s headquarter with the look and feel of a Gallic village. With this innovative concept, we won the Quadriga HR Excellence Award for SMEs in the category "Working 4.0" on December 2nd, 2016. The employees will move to the new Munich headquarter in February 2017.

With constantly changing teams and different working locations, the digital revolution is presenting employers and employees with major challenges. In light of these challenges, the jury has recognised a project which has successfully made use of the latest technical advances and managed the complex changes involved in the working world of tomorrow.

The result of the concept that has been jointly developed at PULS is a unique Gallic village. The focus was not on the cost, but on the added value for the “residents”. It includes a village square for sharing knowledge and promoting creativity, together with Druid workshops that meet all the requirements of an innovative, high-tech manufacturer of electrical systems. The employees also have a green oasis and retreat areas which help to increase well-being and improve concentration.

“This year we took part in the HR Excellence Awards for the first time and were very pleased to be nominated twice with our Gallic village and our Journey to Social Collaboration. The fact that our new working environment has actually won an award makes us all very proud and happy,” says Tanja Friederichs, Vice President Human Resources.

The CEO of PULS, Bernhard Erdl, emphasises the fact that PULS has been a pathfinder and a pioneer in the development of DIN rail power supplies for the last 35 years. “Now we are working closely with our employees to make the most of the benefits of the modern world of work and to ensure that SMEs continue to play their pioneering role during the era of digital transformation.”

The HR Excellence Award is organised by Quadriga University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, together with Human Resources Manager magazine. The event is a platform for outstanding, forward-looking achievements in the field of human resources. It also aims to attract attention to innovative ideas and projects.
