Ulrich Ermel is constantly driving innovation and focuses on IoT, Industrial Ethernet, Industry 4.0 and smart devices/services. At PULS he is responsible for new business development and the global application engineering.
Mr. Ermel's clear focus lies on New Business Development and product design. He has many years of experience with IoT, Industry 4.0, Smart Devices, Smart Services and also has several years of management experience.
He has also been awarded with multiple German top management awards, as well as a Frost & Sullivan award for visionary leadership and innovation.
Before joining PULS, he was director of TQ-Embedded at TQ-Systems, a leading German electronics service provider and supplier of embedded electronics modules and systems.
From 2011 until 2017 he acted as Chairman of the Management Board at COG Deutschland e.V., a German industry association that concerns itself with the issue of obsolescence management. The organisation aims to minimise the impact of the unavailability of components/services on products, or in the best case prevent it altogether.
Simultaneously, Mr. Ermel also held the position of Director at the International Institute of Obsolescence Management, a professional body for those involved or interested in obsolescence management.
In his previous life he not only ran his own company in the field of hardware electronics, but also worked for Conrad Electronics in Germany and Harrods Ltd. in the UK. In addition to this, he supported an electronics factory start-up in Shanghai, China.
