PISA11 Protection Modules are now approved according to UL 2367

Besides the usual UL508 approval for panel installations and the UL 60950-1 approval for general safety requirements, the PISA11 units are now also approved according to UL 2367.

The UL 2367 (UL Category QVRQ2) is titled "Special-purpose Solid-state Overcurrent Protector". This UL standard and verifies that the output’s overcurrent protection as well as the reliable safe shutdown of the PISA11 module functions correctly during a protection event.

Solid-state overcurrent protectors are intended to be used on the load-side of an isolating transformer, power supply or battery to provide a means of supplementary protection.

The approval according to UL 2367 verified the proper functioning of the overcurrent protection function under specific environmental conditions. These conditions include minimum and maximum operating temperature, minimum and maximum storage and transportation temperature as well as during thermal cycling. In addition, extensive abnormal and endurance tests were being performed during the evaluation of the PISA11 modules.

All nine PISA11 models have successfully passed these tests.
