New DC UPS controller for maximum reliability and flexibility

With the UB40.241, PULS presents a new controller (24V, 40A) for uninterruptible power supply systems. In combination with a 24V power supply and an external battery pack, it enables the reliable bridging of power failures and voltage fluctuations. This can prevent costly downtime, time-consuming restarts, and the loss of data.

As long as the power supply provides sufficient voltages, the DC-UPS controller charges the battery. If the supply voltage suddenly fails, the energy stored in the battery is released to the DC bus in a regulated process.

Flexible 1-Battery-Concept

A unique feature of the UB series is the PULS 1-Battery-Concept. To ensure the longest possible battery life, each 12V battery is charged and monitored separately. This smart function eliminates the need to match batteries. The UB40.241 allows precise charging, testing and optimized usage of the battery capacity.

The control unit can be combined with different battery sizes (from 12Ah to 200Ah). A selector on the front of the device makes it easy to adjust it to the corresponding battery size.

Smart diagnosis and monitoring

The UB40.241 has various battery diagnostic functions, including an early pre-warning signal when the battery is low. This ensures a safe and reliable operation of the entire system. The charging of the batteries is temperature-controlled, which also has a positive effect on the battery life. It also features a selectable buffer time limiter as well as the contacts "Ready", "Buffering" and "Replace battery". For safety and maintenance reasons, an inhibit-input signal is included to enable phases without enforced buffering.
